The Spreads

Each spread is a different lens. Choose by the depth of your question.

1
Single Card
One card. One truth.

When you need clarity rather than analysis. A single card drawn with full intention holds the entire answer.

1.Your Card - the core message, a mirror to the question.

Three Card
Past root, present flame, future opening.

The most-used spread for a reason. Three positions create a narrative arc from what shaped you to where you are heading.

1.Past - the root energy still influencing now.
2.Present - the living reality you occupy.
3.Future - the direction of travel if you remain on this path.

A five-position map of the situation.

Deeper terrain. Five positions reveal the heart of the matter, the forces in tension, the ground you stand on, the ideal above, and the path ahead.

1.Heart of the Matter - position 1.
2.Crossing Force - position 2.
3.Foundation - position 3.
4.What Crowns - position 4.
5.Outcome - position 5.

The Fool's Journey
How to Read a Spread

Each tarot card is a layered symbol-system. Understanding its anatomy deepens every reading.

Number

The numeral anchors the card in the Fool's journey. Numbers 1-9 carry Pythagorean meaning; 10+ reduce to single digits (e.g. The Moon XVIII = 1+8 = 9, the Hermit's completion).

Element

Fire (will, action), Water (emotion, intuition), Air (thought, communication), Earth (body, material). The element shapes the quality of the card's energy in any spread position.

Planet / Sign

Astrological rulers deepen timing and archetype. The Sun = radiance and ego; Saturn = structure and karma; Venus = beauty and love. Rulerships align with the 12 signs of the zodiac.

Imagery

Symbols recur across the Major Arcana: wands (will), cups (heart), pentacles (earth), swords (mind). Colours carry meaning - gold is divine light, red is passion, blue is spirit, white is purity.
